You hear it often in your very own circle’s, whether friends, or colleagues at work, of just listening to the radio, “I never win anything“. The response is usually said when the person has won something, after the fact, and it goes into what my post is all about. I look back at the contest or lotteries that I have won, and I can say that it never gets old when I am presented some new winnings to add to my resume of things. I entered a contest on Facebook that was through BMW Langley by the Open Road Auto Group here in British Columbia just by clicking the button ‘LIKE’ on their page, and I can tell you that I was greatly surprised that I was the winner of their contest. September 2, 2011was when I was notified about my prize through Facebook in regards to this prize that I have decided to share with you all.

This was definitely a highlight of my day, as I was going through food poisoning, and it was not pretty. Also I was at work, and the day was just an uphill climb to get things done, wanting to leave and having and suffering from this illness, as I wanted to get enough rest for the long weekend ahead, and a trip to Whistler.  I probably stayed longer than anyone thought, working through the mass of work request that was hitting my desk and my email and it felt like a non-stop rush of ‘things to do’ prior to calling it quits. When I received a message from Josh Chow (Marketing Coordinator for the Open Road Auto Group) that I had won, the first thing that came to mind is, what did I win, and is this some Facebook promotion. My mind and mood quickly changed when I looked at the BMW Langley Facebook page and realized that I indeed did win. It is amazing how ones feelings and motions change right to positive and energetic after receiving good news. I did not feel sick one bit, full of energy and ready to celebrate going into the weekend.

From the picture of the prize, I decided to go with the Whistler getaway, and will be going up this weekend and staying at the Four Seasons. I will update my site on my weekend experience when this is all done. I just want to extend my thank you to Josh Chow for the many back and forth emails and calls for this prize, BMW Langley and the Open Road Auto Group for this prize, you have made me feel like a winner! And until the update post on this coming weekend……

PS – I am looking forward to driving the car, and telling you how a convertible BMW feels up the Sea-to-Sky Highway!
