A start of a Saturday, with the temperature a little on the chilly side, knowing that it is the middle of summer in Vancouver, and there is a sense of calmness. New experiences seem to have entered my life in many ways, and sometimes the smallest of things we do that are not our daily routines is a pleasant change. I am actually sitting at a coffee shop in Granville Island with a nice cup of ‘americano’ listening to music with my headphones on, and typing on my netbook before  9:00 AM in the morning.

The term of rushed, and being fast paced would probably be a description of who ‘Simon’ is. To take a few steps back in my life this whole week, and reflect upon the time that has past in a coffee shop with no distractions is relaxing. Even though I do not add any cream of sugar in my coffee, it seems to not be bitter.

Having a chance to just sit on the patio, and look at what other people do on a Saturday morning is quite interesting. You have a different crowd from the normal Monday to Friday office/work going crowd. People are more laid back, reading more enjoyable things in the paper. There are less cars on the road, there are a few more people running on the sidewalk, and you know this is not your normal workday crowd.

I sit here with my $2.66 cup of coffee, using the free wi-fi internet, and taking up this seat on the patio enjoying every moment, while my fingers move on my netbook typing this entry on my own website. Clarity is something we have, not when we know what is going on, but we accept the fact of the things that go on. I feel good moving forward, and it is a long road ahead. This sense I feel is as clear as the cup of coffee I have, it may be dark, but I have not clouded it with any cream or sugar.
